Chegou-me por e-mail um interessante artigo de uma publicação anglo-saxónica com um título interessante: Weblogs: Do they belong in libraries?
Partindo de um citação da BBC

o articulista (Penny Garrod) expõe um conjunto de factos que descrevem a notável experiência que vai surgindo – e que também por cá vamos experimentando – entre blogues e bloggers de todas as idades, incluindo crianças.
De quando em vez é útil ir espreitando lá para fora para percebermos onde já chegou este fenómeno de comunicação.
Deixo-vos um pequeno excerto onde se tenta mais uma definição para weblog:
“something which starts life small, but which gradually ‘snowballs’ into something bigger as more people contribute comments, ideas, news, etc. Above all weblogs can, and should be, fun – which is perhaps why they appeal to children and are being used by children’s librarians.”
